Lecture on Intellectual Property, Nov.26, 2024 at APIC

The Asia-Pacific Industrial Property Center of the Japan Association for the Promotion of Invention held an intellectual property evaluation seminar focusing on technology evaluation. At this seminar, I gave a lecture.

Intellectual property experts from Asia, Africa, South America, and other countries listened intently.

In this seminar, participants received both theoretical and practical training using case studies on specific methods for evaluating intellectual property mainly focusing on technology.

Evaluation is a very difficult task, but if you can understand that the essence of evaluation is to obtain consensus among interested parties, I think the training can be said to have been a success.

I pray for the continued development of all experts.

The photo below shows everyone who participated in the seminar.

"INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY VALUATION TRAINING" AT THE ASIA-PACIFIC INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY CENTER OF THE JAPAN INSTITUTE FOR PROMOTING INVENTION AND INNOVATION, Nov 10, 2023

Sponsored by APIC (Asia Pacific Industrial Property Center), the Japan Institute for Promoting Invention and Innovation, I served as a real training instructor on intellectual property valuation at the center.

The training participants were from Brazil (1 person),  Chili (2 people), Egypt (1 person), Ghana(1 person), Indonesia (3 people),  Malaysia (1 person), Mexico (1 person), Morocco (1 person), Nigeria (1 person), peru (1 person), the Philippines (2 people), Saudi Arabia (1 person), Sri Lanka (1 person), Thailand (1 person), Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (1 person), Türkiye (1 person), Vietnam (1 person), from OAPI (Organization Africaine de la Propriete Intellectuelle in Cameroon) (1 person) and from Japan Patent Office (2 people).  24 members in total.

All participants showed a strong interest in unfamiliar technical terms such as finance and accounting, and also learned about the meaning and essence of the word "evaluation." We had a bright and enthusiastic day that we both enjoyed.

                                                                                                                                                                                   Thank you very much.

Served as a lecturer for "Intellectual Property valuation Training" at the Asia-Pacific Industrial Property Center of the Japan Institute for Promoting Invention and Innovation, September 1, 2023

This year as well, sponsored by APIC (Asia Pacific Industrial Property Center), the Japan Institute for Promoting Invention and Innovation, served as an online training instructor on intellectual property valuation at the center.

The training participants were from Brazil (2 people), Brunei (1 person), Cambodia (2 people), Indonesia (1 person), Malaysia (3 people), Mexico (2 people), the Philippines (2 people), and Thailand (3 people). Participants participated online from various countries including (1 person) and Vietnam (1 person).

It is said that the evaluation of intellectual property is still an area that is not well known in many countries.

Everyone attended the lecture with great effort, even though they struggled with terms that they were not familiar with (DCF, cash flow, discount rate, business value, etc.).

Rather than memorizing the training content, we focused the training on helping participants understand the image.

I had a great experience of international exchange while being surrounded by smiling faces.

Guest speaker at Musashino University lecture, July 7, 2023

Thanks to the kindness of Professor Koji Akamatsu, who teaches evening lectures on "IT-related laws" at Musashino University, I had the opportunity to give a lecture to about 20 students from that class. Professor Akamatsu is an administrative officer at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

The theme of the lecture was "The Economic Significance of Intellectual Property in the Future IT Society," but in reality, we discussed about a broader topic.

We talked about various topics such as "What is intellectual property?", "What is innovation?", "What is true information?" and "How should we deal with AI?"

I had the opportunity to meet young people for the first time in a while, and I had a great time for 1 hour and 40 minutes in a classroom full of energy.

From the students, I want to grasp something solid in this era!

      What's the hint? something?

Where is the point of contact between myself and society?

How should we live our livies?

December 2020    APPEARED IN THE tEXT BOOK FOR 5TH gRADE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

In December 2020, I appeared in the February issue (2021) of "Shinkenzemi Elementary School Course" Challenge Web "" planned by Benesse Corporation for 3rd to 6th grade elementary school students with a portrait.

What is "serendipity"? It is a commentary on.

"Serendipity" can be said to be the power of human beings to put together the lucky information brought by chance into ideas such as inventions.

However, good luck is a lie that comes from heaven, and I think that the state of the person's daily spiritual activities is important.

At the same time, I am convinced that the way of carving our own life, such as keeping away from worldly desires and doing our best for the public good, has a lot to do with it.

I would like to pray for Japanese children to grow up to be such human beings who can spin the genes of Japanese people who have been respected by the world.

Yellow flowers blooming.

Flowers blooming silently in this field where once was killing one.   This field has been forced to change to such place due to sheer madness of human who's ignorance, weakness and arrogance led the place to hell.

These natural flowers may symbolically discriminate the power of great nature and such subtle and mad human which must be child of nature.
